Going Deeper: Salvation (Calvinism & Arminianism)

Session Overview

When it comes to salvation, evangelical Christians share a number of fundamental beliefs. For example, we all believe that it is through the death and resurrection of Jesus that we are forgiven; that we are saved by grace through faith; that God is sovereign over us whilst also giving us free will. But there are also areas of salvation that split opinions. How, for example, should we understand free will? Does sin limit our ability to seek after God or are we entirely able to choose Him in our own right? How should we respond to the concept of election? On what basis does God elect His people?

Watch as Matt, our Assistant Pastor, shares some answers to these kinds of questions through the theories of Calvinism and Arminianism, seeing how it all aligns with Scripture.
