Plan Your Visit
Hey There!
We're absolutely thrilled that you're thinking of joining us on Sunday. At EBC, we love meeting new people and ensuring everyone feels right at home. When you arrive, our friendly Welcome Team will be there with big smiles to greet you and guide you in the right direction. Don't forget to grab a free hot drink before the service starts too.
The information below should give you a good idea of what to expect, but if you have any questions, just give us a shout!
We can’t wait to meet you.
Sunday Gatherings
-
Our doors open every Sunday at 9.30am, where you can enjoy a variety of free hot drinks served by our Hospitality Team. It’s a great opportunity to catch up and connect with others before our service begins at 10.00am.
Our Sunday Gatherings usually last about an hour and fifteen minutes, wrapping up around 11.15am.
-
Every Sunday is unique, but we always spend meaningful time worshipping God through singing, prayer, and learning from the Bible.
We love to share Family News, highlighting and celebrating exciting things happening within our church family. We’ll also keep you in the loop with a few announcements about events and activities we think you’ll love, as well as share some information about giving. Then, one of our pastors or another speaker will bring a message from the Bible, sometimes as part of a series and other times as a standalone message. Either way, you can expect to be encouraged, challenged, and inspired.
Occasionally, we provide updates from Christian organisations and individuals we support, both locally and globally. It’s always amazing to hear their stories and see the difference they are making in the world.
Once a month, we also share communion together (with gluten-free bread and non-alcoholic wine). There is no pressure to join in, but anyone who has made a personal commitment to follow Jesus is always welcome to take part.
-
Yes! We love having babies and toddlers with us during the service, and noise isn’t a problem. However, if you prefer, we also have a comfortable crèche in the foyer designed for you and your preschool-aged children. It’s set up with cosy sofas and plenty of toys to keep your little ones happy and entertained. Plus, there’s a TV screen with a live feed of the auditorium stage, so you can still enjoy the service without missing a moment.
-
Our service starts with everyone being together, but soon after, we invite all our children and young people to be a part of their own fun and engaging sessions, led by our fantastic team. It’s a great opportunity for them to explore faith and enjoy being with friends.
We've got a brilliant lineup of groups for your children and young people, tailored to their school year:
EBC Kids (Reception to Year 2)
EBC Kids+ (Year 3 to Year 6)
EBC Youth (Year 7 to Year 9)
You can find out more and register your children to be with us here.
-
We’d love to invite you to stay after the service for a hot drink and a chat. It’s a great opportunity to get to know people better and make friends.
If you would like prayer or support afterwards, our dedicated team of volunteers is available each week and will gladly spend time with you.
-
That’s easy! Wear whatever you feel comfortable in, whether it’s shorts or jeans, shirts or hoodies, suits or dresses— whatever suits you. We’re an informal church, and there’s certainly no dress code.
-
We’ve got you covered! Our pastors’ message notes are translated every Sunday for you to download and follow. Before the message begins, you can either scan the QR code displayed on the screen or visit this page.
Currently, we offer translations in Cantonese, Ukrainian, Romanian, and Thai. If you would benefit from another language, please let us know! We’re always looking to expand our translations.
-
Our building is fully accessible for those in wheelchairs and mobility scooters. We have a disabled-access toilet and parking spaces directly outside the building for drop-offs. Additionally, there is a T-loop sound system for those with hearing aids.
-
Absolutely! When you’re here, feel free to talk to our friendly Welcome Team or visit our Connect space after the service. Our volunteers will be happy to answer any questions you have.
You’re also welcome to pick up an Information Pack, which will give you an even better understanding of our church.
Kids & Youth
EBC Kids & Kids+
EBC Kids (Reception - Y2) Kids+ (Y3 - Y6) is for any children aged between 4 and 11 years old. We meet all year round for about an hour during the morning service.
We begin together with a time of worship, including a song, Bible story or theme and a prayer time, then divide into groups to explore the Bible message in greater detail, at an age appropriate level, through discussion, games and crafts. Each month’s lessons explore a particular Christian characteristic, with a monthly memory verse, and each week there is a practical application of what the week’s story means in our own lives.
To encourage the children in their faith journey, they are given a sheet of Bible readings and prayers to do at home during the week. We also supply ‘cue cards’ to help parents/carers support and encourage their children.
EBC Youth
We want to equip our young people to live in faith and know the freedom that God has for them. On Sunday mornings, our young people join the weekly Sunday Gathering for the first 20 minutes before heading out to EBC Youth for games, a short talk, discussion and prayer.
EBC Youth is for those in Y7 - 9 (aged 11 - 14)
Safeguarding at EBC is of the highest priority. All staff and volunteers working with children, young people and adults at risk at EBC are required to pass an enhanced DBS check.
