The Bereavement Journey®
Starting Tuesday 21st January at 7pm
Navigating grief can be incredibly challenging, especially without support. That's why we, as volunteers at EBC, are hosting The Bereavement Journey®. It's our way of reaching out to care for members of our community facing loss. If you're over 18 and currently grieving or struggling with unresolved loss, we invite you to join us. Sessions begin on Tuesday 21st of January at 7pm at Emsworth Baptist Church.
This safe space will address topics such as attachment, separation, and loss; the impact and pain of bereavement; managing anger and guilt; coping with others’ reactions; adjusting to life changes; recognising delayed or suppressed grief; and moving forward in a healthy manner. There is a suggested donation of £20 per person for the entire course, but please don't let finances be a barrier — we're happy to cover the cost for anyone who needs it.
The Bereavement Journey® is designed to honour each person's unique experience and provide a supportive environment. There's no pressure to participate in any specific way; everyone is encouraged to proceed at their own pace.
The final session, though optional, offers a chance to explore spiritual questions that often arise during bereavement, or simply listen to a Christian perspective, regardless of whether you consider yourself a person of faith or not.
If you or someone you know could benefit from this journey, please register today.
