Ninety: The Servant King

Message Overview

For the third time, Jesus predicts His impending betrayal, arrest, and crucifixion. He describes the horror of what awaits Him, emphasising that He will be handed over and mistreated severely. Despite this warning, the disciples seem unable to grasp Jesus’ words and turn their focus to personal ambitions. James and John request positions of honour in Jesus’ Kingdom but in response, He teaches them about servanthood. The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many.
